Volunteers make it happen
Volunteers are the key to the success of the Grandstand Diner. Whether you serve one shift or seven, or whether you cook, grill, serve beverages, take money or bus tables, you are part of helping the homeless!
Contact Ed and Lila Miller (419-337-6211; edmiller@fulton-net.com) and let them know what you can do and when you can do it. It is a great opportunity to serve together and get to know other North Clinton attenders, bless fairgoers with home-cooked meals and help the homeless all at the same time!

2010 fair proceeds to benefit homeless
Helping the homeless of Fulton County is the goal of the Grandstand Diner during the 2010 Fulton County Fair. Proceeds will be divided among three area homeless shelters—Friendship House, Noah House, and Open Door.
While offering a hand up, not just a hand out, each facility provides for the basic needs of families while helping them become self-sufficient. Assistance in finding jobs along with financial and spiritual counseling are part of the services offered by staff and volunteers.
Friendship House is located at 118 South Defiance Street in Archbold and is available to house up to two families from the Archbold or Pettisville school districts.
Noah House, located at 4360 County Road D near Pettisville, can accommodate nine residents and includes a full size kitchen, two living spaces and two bathrooms that are shared by the residents.
Open Door Housing Center has room for five families (handicap accessible) and is located at 104 Monroe St. in Delta.
